More Twitter Followers boosts Affiliate Sales Attraction Marketing with WEB 2.0 Social Blogging
By now, everyone has heard of Twitter, the WEB 2.0 micro blogging platform. At first it may seem that it is difficult to do anything with 140 characters per post that Twitter allows. However, the popularity of the tool and the number of notables that are on Twitter should have piqued your curiosity. There are notables such as President Obama, most singers, actors and celebrities and, of course, the gurus of internet marketing.
Social blogging is all the rage! Some people have followers in the tens, hundreds, thousands and even tens of thousands. Celebrities have followers by the hundreds of thousands. President Obama has more than half a million followers, and he is does not have the top number of followers. As of this blog, we are approaching the one million followers. Wow.
Obviously there is something to increasing the number of followers, especially if you can monetize it. There are several ways to do that.
- Edit your profile and make it interesting. Make sure that you come off as someone who has something to offer. Don’t make up things, of course. But look in your history, professional experience, training, etc. Make sure you add a picture too! That says a lot. You should include keywords in your profile that reflect your interest. It is what people will be looking and it is what you are looking for in others. Besides, there are tools that will search that out for you.
- Edit your profile page and add a custom background that reflects more about you. This adds to your credibility and noteworthiness. You can find customized backgrounds here
- A brute force method to increasing your followers is to find someone in your nice and to follow them. Then look at their followers and follow them. Most people will return the follow. You can use http://www.twellow.com/ to find people in your niche area.
- A semi automated way that is somewhat viral is explained here. It is using viral tweets seven levels deep. It works to a certain extent. But you need followup content to keep people interested in you.
- Another more automated way to get followers, purge those that are not following you, update content continually and also earn money from affiliate sales is right here. It costs $37, but it certainly helps boost the followers. It also has a lot of additional ideas and tools to manage your Twitter account.
Whichever way you choose, the key thing is to be updating your Twitter account regularily so that others see you. Make sure you are not just selling or promoting on Twitter. Otherwise, everyone will unfollow you. Establish rapport, offer ideas, discussion and be yourself, be real. The more you show that you are a real person through this social blogging, the more you will engage in Attraction Marketing and draw people to you.
